Phototherapy (Light treatments)

LIGHT TREATMENTS (PHOTOTHERAPY)

At South East Dermatology Stafford we have a range of Light treatments delivered by our  Whole Body and Hand / Foot UVB phototherapy units.

 

There are a range of conditions that can be treated by narrowband UVB.

 

Commonly this is used to treat Psoriasis , Eczema and Vitiligo (white patches).

 

It is also useful in the treatment of

  • Generalised Itch (prurigo)
  • Cutaneous Tcell lymphoma
  • Urticaria / dermographism

 

Typically you will attend 2-3 times per week for treatment. Treatment is flexible during the day ie before and after work.
