Arif graduated from the University of Dundee School of Medicine (Scotland) in 2004 and completed post graduate training in both general medicine (MRCP) and general practice (MRCGP) in the North-West deanery. He then specialised in dermatology at the Manchester Academic Health Science Centre, Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust one of the largest centres in Europe where he developed his interest in skin cancer, dermatological surgery and laser dermatology.


After completing his post graduate training, he sought additional specialised training and completed a fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery, dermatologic oncology and laser dermatology at the Nottingham NHS Treatment Centre.


Arif has published over 30 peer-reviewed articles and several book chapters and has presented at national and international scientific meetings. He is a member of the British Association of Dermatologists and British Society of Dermatologic Surgery.
